In March 2024, Danie accepted an appointment as Executive Consultant at Van Wyk Van Heerden, bringing with him a career spanning over thirty years and a reputation that reaches well beyond the courtroom.

Danie’s practice spans, media and entertainment, family law, High Court litigation, and trust law — with experience in high-profile matters before the High Court, the Supreme Court of Appeal, and the Constitutional Court. Media24 has been among his clients, and he has long represented artists, celebrities, television and film production houses, and major players in the South African music industry.

Following a recommendation by the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) the Cape High Court appointed Danie in 2022 as Supervising Attorney in the high-profile matter involving SARB, Markus Jooste, Lanzerac, and related entities.

In 2022, The Western Cape Premier Allan Winde appointed Danie to represent the people of the Western Cape on the Council of Stellenbosch University.
